Randy Denosowicz

 

Randy Denosowicz is a co-owner of B&R Estate Group, co-owner of Antiques of Dallas, LLC and owner of RD Associates, LLC, a marketing and consulting firm.

 

Randy is a born and bred Texan. He also lived on the east coast for 14 years, in Boston and New York City, where his love of antiques and American history truly flourished. When he moved back to Texas, he became a co-owner of an antique and interior decor store, Norton, Ltd., in the exclusive River Oaks section of Houston. For over 10 years, the store was a well-known source for designers of unique and antique finds. In 1994, he was transferred to Dallas and has lived here for the past 17 years.

 

Randy is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers. He is a generalist in the area of Antiques and Residential Contents. He also focuses on "furniture." To obtain these credentials, he completed the following. development requirements:

 

• Core Course in Appraisal Studies - a complete appraisal methodology course for personal property appraising. Its thorough scope includes appraisal objectives, intended uses, market identification and analysis, research methods and skills, ethics and professional conduct, and a detailed presentation of report formats and checklists.

 

• Antiques & Residential Contents Appraisal Course - this course provided information necessary to properly identify and value items falling into the broad category of antiques and residential contents. Focus was on analysis of construction and manufacturing; discerning the difference between "good", "better", and "best" quality, design characteristics pertinent to general periods and styles; and research resources for the appraiser. Course sections included furniture, ceramics, glass, silver, toys and dolls, and vintage fashions as well as general household contents.

 

• 15 Hour Personal Property USPAP Course - the 15-hour Personal Property Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) material is designed to aid appraisers in all areas of appraisal practice seeking competency in the USPAP. This course focused on the requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by an appraiser that are set forth in the USPAP. The course material emphasizes the role of the appraiser and the impartiality associated with this role.

 

Randy continued to enhance his credentials when he attended the 2012 International Society of Appraisers Annual Conference in Tempe Arizona. While there, he earned Professional Development Credits from courses, including:

In 2010, Randy opened Antiques of Dallas, LLC with Bernie Bagley. They search the country over to bring customers a compelling mix of antique furniture, accessories, glassware, oil paintings, watercolors, and vintage textiles. They specialize in American primitives, English, Irish, as well as Art Deco. Antiques of Dallas also offers a varied and interesting selection of glassware and accessories.
